The rubix cube - how many I hours I spent twisting and turning trying to bring the cube into alignment. Once into alignment I would mess it up and begin again. Does that sound like your life too?
This morning, during meditation I asked how can I show people a clearer way of understanding their core, that part of them that doesn't change. As I sat with eyes closed waiting for the answer, I was shown a rubix cube. "Okay", I thought, "sometimes the answer makes less sense than the question.
It wasn't until a few moments ago, it hit me. The rubix cube not only shows us full alignment, it also shows us the way we mess up our lives, as we twist and turn, trying to get our core (Higher Power) to do want we want.
The central working part of this toy or puzzle never changes. If we try to manipulate it too much, it becomes even more difficult to realign. It we try even harder, it will break and the pieces around it will fall away, but the mechanism remains the same.
Sometimes you can get one or two sides to line up, and if you lay it right on the table, no one can see that the rest of the puzzle is still mixed up. Yet within, the part that turns the cubes is still in correct position, waiting for you to come back and try again. Others will look at the puzzle and think you have it all together, but they do not see what is going on underneath.
Manipulation of this puzzle is useless. There is a certain set of turn and twists that create the correct alignment of all the cubes. It is all there for you to create your masterpiece, but you must have the patient to sit with it, study it, and move it in the right direction. Once in alignment you can then leave it alone, knowing it will not change unless you choose to mess it up again.
So next time you are wondering about the mechanism of you, consider the rubix cube. The principles are the same. Nothing changes - it is all there, just not properly aligned. With patience and a never give up attitude, you will find the answer to all of life's puzzles. Using our mind in the right way will always produce the results we are seeking.
The main difference between us and the rubix cube, is that our mechanism bends a little more, and if we leave it to do it's job, the realignment will be done for us. We can break part of our life, but always our Higher Power stays intact waiting for us to ask for assistance in recreating balance and harmony in our lives. It goes nowhere while we go off in separate directions seeking something illusive and not necessarily for our best interest. When we are ready we can pop the pieces back together and the cube will once again twist and turn with us until we find our perfect place again.
I hope this helps all those who have asked me what I mean when I say, "Don't Change For Heaven's Sake". Simply look to the core of your being where nothing changes and allow the puzzle pieces to fall into place.
Know you are blessed and you are a blessing in this world.
